Job summary

HHLA PLT Italy is seeking a Project Manager for the Expansion Project in Trieste to lead terminal expansion, process design, and automation initiatives. You will collaborate with Civil Engineering, Equipment, IT & Automation, and external partners to ensure successful delivery of the phased expansion, while maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in terminal planning/execution of container operations.
• Fluent English; Italian and/or German are a plus.
• EU working permit preferred; willing to relocate to Trieste.

Responsibilities

• Manage project activities related to operational topics for the expansion project.
• Oversee design and execution of automated solutions within the terminal.
• Coordinate interfaces with Civil Engineering, Equipment, IT & Automation, and external partners.
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and optimization techniques.
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance across project tasks.
