The Green Recruitment Company is representing an established renewable energy developer seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental performance across Italy's solar PV and energy storage projects.

You will serve as the HSE SME, coordinating with senior management, EPC contractors, and project teams, ensuring compliance with Italian Decree 81/2008 and taking charge of site safety, risk assessments, incident investigations, and PSC documentation where applicable.

Competenze

• Significant HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.
• Utility-scale Solar PV experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with BESS and HV electrical infrastructure is a major advantage.
• Experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors from an HSE perspective.
• Strong knowledge of Italian HSE legislation, particularly Legislative Decree 81/2008.
• CSP/CSE qualification compliant with Italian legislation.
• Good English language skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Italy.

I’m currently working with an established renewable energy developer working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join their team in Italy.

This is a broad, hands-on role covering both corporate HSE management and project-level HSE across the development, construction and commissioning of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.

The Role

You’ll act as the company’s HSE subject matter expert, working closely with senior management, project teams, EPC contractors and other stakeholders to ensure high standards of health, safety and environmental performance across the business.

A key part of the role will be acting as CSP/CSE (Coordinatore per la Sicurezza in fase di Progettazione / Esecuzione) on Italian projects where formally appointed, ensuring compliance with Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008.

What We’re Looking For

• Significant HSE experience within construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects
• Utility-scale Solar PV experience strongly preferred
• Exposure to BESS and/or HV electrical infrastructure is a major advantage
• Strong experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors from an HSE perspective
• Strong knowledge of Italian HSE legislation, particularly Legislative Decree 81/2008
• CSP/CSE qualification compliant with Italian legislation
• Experience with construction-site safety, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Comfortable working autonomously within a lean, fast-moving organization
• Good working knowledge of English
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites across Italy
