Job summary

Green Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a 100-200 MWp utility-scale Solar PV project in Sicily, Italy. The role is an owner’s representative on-site throughout construction, overseeing delivery by EPC contractors and ensuring safety, quality and schedule.

You will work closely with EPCs, subcontractors, engineers and project teams across civil works, PV installation, HV/MV cabling, grid connection and commissioning.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in construction management or owner’s representation.
• Solar PV or renewables experience is highly desirable.
• Background in power infrastructure or large-scale industrial construction.
• Ability to read drawings, SLDs and project schedules.
• Strong site judgement, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Engineering, Energy, Construction Management or relevant technical degree.
• English required and driving licence.
• Willingness to be site-based.

Responsibilities

• Act as the owner’s on-site representative, monitoring construction progress and safety.
• Ensure delivery to quality, schedule and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, engineers and internal project teams.
• Oversee interfaces with grid connection and commissioning.

I’m currently working with an international renewable energy developer on an exciting 100-200 MWp utility-scale Solar PV project in Sicily, and we’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join the project team.

This is an owner’s representative role, working on-site throughout the construction phase and overseeing delivery by third-party EPC contractors.

The Project

• 100-200 MWp utility-scale Solar PV plant

• HV grid-connection substation

• Environmental mitigation works

• Full EPC delivery model

• Sicily, Italy

• Permanent position | Daily on-site presence

The Role

You’ll act as the owner’s primary on-site representative, monitoring construction progress and ensuring the project is delivered safely, to the required quality standards, on schedule and in line with contractual requirements.

You’ll work closely with EPC contractors, subcontractors, independent engineers, grid stakeholders and internal project teams across:

• Civil & earthworks

• PV installation and electrical BoP

• MV/HV cabling and substation works

• Grid connection

• Environmental mitigation

• Commissioning

What We’re Looking For

• 3-5 years’ experience in construction management, owner’s representation or site supervision

• Utility-scale Solar PV experience highly desirable

• Background in renewables, power infrastructure or large-scale industrial construction

• Good understanding of PV construction phases and site interfaces

• Ability to read engineering drawings, SLDs, technical specifications and project schedules

• Strong site judgement, communication and problem-solving skills

• A practical, proactive and commercially aware approach

• Engineering, Energy, Construction Management or relevant technical degree

• English required

• Valid driving licence and willingness to be site-based
