Maritime Ventures invites entrepreneurial leaders to join as Entrepreneurs in Residence with the goal of becoming CEO and co-founder of a startup emerging from Maritime Ventures' venture-building pipeline.

You will drive the venture from concept to market, validate business models, and assemble a founding team while engaging with shipyards, owners, and partners. English fluency is required and relocation to Italy is expected for on-site work.

• 10+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership roles.
• Hands-on, execution-driven mindset for entrepreneurship.
• Experience in venture building, early-stage startups, or scale-up environments.
• Ability to operate across strategy, product, and commercial execution.
• Exposure to fundraising processes and VC/investor-facing activities.

• Drive the venture from early-stage product development to successful go-to-market execution.
• Validate the business model and lead the first customer acquisition efforts.
• Build and lead a high-performing founding team.
• Manage relationships with shipyards, owners, and tech/service partners.
• Collaborate with venture building experts to develop financial models, pitch decks, and fundraising strategies.
• Raise the remaining part of the seed round (50% already committed).
• Represent the company to investors and key ecosystem stakeholders.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Must-have:

• 10+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership roles
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, execution-driven attitude
• Experience in early-stage startups, venture building, or scale-up environments
• Ability to operate across strategy, product, and commercial execution
• Exposure to fundraising processes and VC/investor-facing activities
• Interest in industrial, maritime, or B2B technology-driven businesses
• Fluent in English; Italian is a plus
• Willingness to re-locate to Italy and work on-site (optional Genova or Trieste)
