Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. is seeking an Application Engineer to develop optimized charging solutions for public and commercial transport within the Europe Hub eMobility Center.

You will work with customers, Sales, Tendering, Product Management and engineering teams to shape high-level concepts from early engagement through tendering. You will translate customer requirements into system architectures, coordinate with internal specialists on power-system studies and interfaces, and support both

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on power systems
• 5 years of experience in application and power systems engineering
• Sound understanding of AC/DC distribution, power conversion, transformers and switchgear
• Experience in developing technical concepts and converting customer requirements into system architectures and compliant offers
• Proactive, results-oriented with strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills in a multicultural environment
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, events, workshops and project support
• Fluent in English; knowledge of another European language is an advantage

Mansioni

• Engage with customers early to understand needs, charging strategies, site constraints and grid connections
• Develop high-level technical concepts for charging infrastructure and define interfaces
• Translate requirements into optimized, feasible Hitachi Energy solutions
• Support Sales Capture and tender teams during pre-design and handover to tender/factory teams
• Coordinate with internal specialists on power-system studies, grid connection, power conversion and charging equipment
• Prepare and present technical proposals, single-line diagrams and design criteria
• Support projects after awards to preserve design intent and identify optimization opportunities
• Support Product Management with insights to improve offerings and guidelines
• Contribute to technical workshops, events and knowledge sharing across locations
