Hitachi Energy Italy S.p.A. seeks an Application Engineer for charging infrastructure solutions in Milan. You will engage with customers, sales, and engineering to shape high-level concepts from early engagement through tendering and project execution.

Ideal candidates have 5 years in power systems engineering, knowledge of DC/AC distribution, and experience translating requirements into robust architectures. Travel and multilingual collaboration are expected in a dynamic EU-wide setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on power systems or power electronics.
• 5 years in application, power systems engineering including DC power supply and MV/LV distribution.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC distribution, grid-connection principles and power quality.
• Experience converting requirements into system architectures and compliant offers.
• Willingness to travel and work in a multicultural, multi-location environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; another European language is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Engage with customers early to understand operational needs and charging strategies.
• Develop high-level technical concepts for charging infrastructure architectures.
• Translate requirements into optimized Hitachi Energy solutions and assess risks.
• Support sales/tender teams with technical inputs and concept handover.
• Coordinate with internal teams on grid studies, energy management and interfaces.
• Prepare and present technical proposals and customer-facing material.
• Assist after awards to refine design intent and optimize interfaces.
• Support Product Management with insights to improve offerings.
