Job summary

Dometic in Pescara, Italy, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive the product strategy for Mobile Power Solutions. You will work with PD, Sales, and Marketing to ensure profitable growth of assigned product portfolios, translating user needs into solid mechanical designs and robust specifications.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, overseeing development from concept to pilot and mass production, while monitoring market trends and supporting validation

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Experience in product development and in using 3D CAD (SolidWorks, SolidEdge or similar).
• Experience in testing and validating products.
• Knowledge of power Mechanicals and their topology and control schemes.
• Experience in Industrialization of products to easy assemble.
• Knowledge in automotive environment, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of EMC automotive standards (UN ECE).
• Fluent Italian and English for team communication.
• Experience with Microsoft O365 tools, PIM & ERP systems, project management tools (e.g. Antura, Wrike).
• Experience in international set-up.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical details of power Mechanicals.
• Translate user requirements into technical specifications with cross-functional teams.
• Support all development stages from specification to prototype and manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Assist Product Manager with market launch and customer communications; support events.
• Monitor competitors, technologies, and market trends; assist validation testing.
• Provide product presentations and trainings with Marketing & Sales.
