Job summary

Dometic, located in Pescara, Italy, seeks a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the Mobile Power Solutions portfolio. You will work with PD, Sales and Marketing to define product strategy and drive profitable growth across product lines.

The role covers design, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing support, with close cooperation across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Italian and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree and hands-on product development experience.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/SolidEdge or similar).
• Experience with testing and validation of products.
• Knowledge of power mechanics topology and control schemes.
• Industrialization for easy assembly.
• Automotive environment, reliability and safety requirements.
• Familiar with EMC automotive standards (UN ECE).
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies.
• Fluent Italian and English for team communication.
• Experience with O365, PIM, ERP, Antura and Wrike.
• Experience in international setups.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical details of power mechanics.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to translate requirements into specifications and implement solutions.
• Support all stages of development from specification to prototype and manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain).
• Work with Marketing & Sales: Product Manager ensures market launch and events planning.
• Monitor competitors, related technology and market trends.
• Test products and support validation.
• Product presentations & trainings with Marketing & Sales.
