Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Should Cost Engineer for its Cascina Costa (VA) office. You will analyze mechanical and hydraulic systems, identify cost drivers, and estimate product costs using parametric, analogy, or bottom-up methods.

The role requires an Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering background, 3–5 years of experience, and proficient English; hybrid work arrangement with a strong emphasis on cost analysis and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering with focus on mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in cost estimation for mechanical/hydraulic components.
• Knowledge of VA/VE and cost drivers.
• English proficiency B2/C1.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze the technical, functional and performance characteristics of mechanical systems (components, transmissions, kinematic mechanisms) and hydraulic systems (servo controls and hydraulic circuits).
• Identify and define the cost drivers of mechanical and hydraulic components/equipment.
• Estimate the cost of mechanical and hydraulic products by applying appropriate cost estimation methods (parametric / analogy / bottom-up).
• Perform VA/VE analyses on mechanical and hydraulic products.

Within the Operations area, we are seeking a Should Cost Engineer for our office in Cascina Costa (VA).

Job description

• identify and analyze the technical, functional and performance characteristics of mechanical systems (components, mechanical transmissions, kinematic mechanisms) and hydraulic systems (servo controls and hydraulic circuits)

THE SELECTION PROCESS

How does the selection process work?

Following the application collection phase, the CVs that best match the required qualifications will be evaluated and shortlisted.
