Leonardo is seeking a New Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join the Cascina Costa site in Italy. You will define manufacturing methods, optimize product industrialization, and prepare BOMs for assemblies and subassemblies.

Within the Manufacturing Engineering Cascina Costa – Methods, we are looking for a Manufacturing Methodist to join our site in Cascina Costa (VA), Italy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determine and implement the most appropriate methods to support and optimize the product industrialization process for assemblies.
• Identify production workflows and define the sequence of manufacturing activities to optimize production efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Identify and require a list of special tools necessary to realize the product, collaborating with the designer to its realization.
• Define, prepare and keep updated the Bill of Material (BOM) with all parts, materials and consumables necessary to produce assemblies and subassemblies.
• Define, monitor, and continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for production processes to ensure manufacturing operations are effective, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
• The candidate will be responsible for preparing technical documentation (manufacturing methods and work instructions) in descriptive and graphical form in compliance with project technical documentation and applicable regulations and specifications. This documentation will provide production operators, within their area of responsibility, with clear instructions for activities including the manufacture of parts, subassemblies and assemblies, product assembly, and helicopter functional testing.
• The Manufacturing Methodist will also support the Production team by providing technical guidance within their area of expertise, clarifying and continuously improving issued work instructions, and assisting in the resolution of non-conformities identified during manufacturing activities.
• When required, the role may also involve supporting the definition and preparation of the documentation required to perform First Article Inspection (FAI).

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a technical high school diploma combined with relevant equivalent work experience;
• Seniority: junior 1–3 years of experience;
• Technical skills and competencies:
  • Good knowledge of engineering drawings
  • Good knowledge of the main mechanical components of a power transmission system
• Soft skills: Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proactive attitude
• Language skills: Intermediate command of the English language (B1 level);
• Digital skills: MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
