Job summary

Leonardo in Varese (Cascina Costa) is seeking a Fatigue Analyst Engineer to ensure Fatigue and Damage Tolerance compliance across IT helicopter product lines. You will work with a multidisciplinary team and support both civil and military platforms, with onsite flight test collaboration.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, a permanent contract, and development opportunities in fatigue analysis and airworthiness requirements. New graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering.
• Knowledge of Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis.
• Experience with metallic and/or composite aircraft structures.
• Understanding of airworthiness regulations and fatigue design criteria.

Responsibilities

For our Fatigue Technical Area located in Cascina Costa, Samarate (VA), we are looking for our next Fatigue Analyst Engineer to join our Leonardo IT Helicopter Division, where you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance requirements as specified by the design criteria and airworthiness regulations.

We cover the whole aircraft system across a range of helicopters, tilt-rotor and UAV platforms using both metallic and composite materials. Our flight test activities are conducted onsite, so providing support to our flight operations creates the opportunities to cooperate with the flight test team. You will work within a team of engineers in the IT Fatigue Office where we are responsible for fatigue activities of IT product lines, both Civil and Military, in cooperation with our UK Fatigue Office.

Technical Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
• Knowledge of Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis
• Knowledge of aircraft structures, with experience in metallic and/or composite materials
• Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and fatigue design criteria

THE SELECTION PROCESS

How does the selection process work?

Following the application collection phase, the CVs that best match the required qualifications will be evaluated and shortlisted. Selected candidates will take part in an introductory interview with the Human Resources team, focusing on motivation and aptitude, followed by an in-depth technical interview with the relevant Business function.
