Dana Incorporated in Italy is seeking an Electromagnetic Design Engineer to drive electromagnetic design and optimization for various motor technologies. The role focuses on applying advanced engineering principles to develop innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective electric motor solutions.

The position involves designing motors (ASynchronous, Reluctance, PM-assisted SR, PM) and supporting engineering teams across validation, quality, and procurement.

Competenze

• Master's degree in Engineering with Electric/Mechatronics/Electronics focus.
• 3 years of progressive experience in a similar role (automotive background a plus).
• English proficiency: B2/C1.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; PowerPoint, Excel.
• Technical background in electrical/electronic rotating machines.
• Experience with ANSYS and CAD 2D.

Mansioni

• Electromagnetic design of Asynchronous, Synchronous Reluctance, PM-assisted SR, PM motor.
• Develop internal calculation software (Excel, Matlab, Simulink, ANSYS, MotorCAD, Altair).
• Manage project documentation (electrical datasheet, installation manual, testing procedure).
• Support Application Engineering on new opportunities evaluation.

• Support Quality, Manufacturing Engineering on manufacturing process development.

The Electromagnetic Design Engineer will be a key member of the Electric Motor Department, responsible for the electromagnetic design and optimization of various motor technologies developed by the company. This role involves the application of advanced engineering principles to support the development of innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective electric motor solutions.

This role involves the application of advanced engineering principles to support the development of innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective electric motor solutions.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Electromagnetic design of Asynchronous, Synchronous Reluctance, permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance, Permanent Magnet Motor
• Internal calculation software development (Excel, matlab, Simulink, ANSYS, MotorCAD, Altair)
• Manage the project documentation (electrical datasheet, installation manual, testing procedure)
• Support the Application Engineering Team on new opportunities evaluation
• Support the validation team
• Support Quality, Manufacturing Engineering on manufacturing process development
• Support the purchasing department on validation of new and different materials

Education And Qualifications

• Master Degree in Engineering (Electric, Mechatronics, Electronics preferred)
• 3 year(s) of progressive experience in a similar role (in automotive field is considered as a plus)

Compensation Data
