Leap29 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support high-impact energy projects in Milan, Italy. You will review electrical power distribution designs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and assist in equipment selection.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in the oil & gas sector, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and strong knowledge of industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects in a collaborative and technically driven environment.

Competenze

• 5+ years of experience within oil & gas or similar industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
• Understanding of hazardous area classifications (ATEX).

Mansioni

• Reviewing and approving electrical power distribution designs (LV, MV, HV).

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – MILAN (OIL & GAS)

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking to work on high-impact, large-scale energy projects? We’re partnering with a leading global engineering consultancy delivering major projects across the oil & gas sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to bring on board a skilled Electrical Engineer to support complex projects in Milan.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Reviewing and approving electrical power distribution designs (LV, MV, HV)
• Working with single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, and layouts
• Supporting equipment selection (transformers, switchgear, UPS, MCCs, motors)
• Carrying out system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination)
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and construction
• Supporting installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Participating in FAT & SAT activities
• Assisting with maintenance strategies and root cause analysis

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
• 5+ years’ experience within oil & gas or similar industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and industry standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.)
• Experience with tools such as ETAP, SKM, or DigSILENT
• Understanding of hazardous area classifications (ATEX)
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Authorized to work in Milan, Italy
