Job summary

Vertiv Co in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy is seeking an Electrical Designer/Engineer to join a dynamic team. You will work on ETO projects involving static transfer switches, distribution units, and power cabinets, driving schedules, cost control, and PLM-compliant drawings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or equivalent, with extensive experience or an alternate pathway. Strong collaboration and cross-functional teamwork are essential as you liaise with AE, OPC, and FWT

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience with associate degree.
• 15+ years with high school diploma.
• Strong planning, organizing, and communication skills.
• Experience with power switchboards and distribution systems.
• Knowledge of IEC 62310, IEC 60439; NEC and UL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requests with AE team and define feasibility and cost.
• Prepare official quotations per ETO guidelines.
• Create mechanical/electrical drawings and BOM per PLM rules.
• Create submittal drawings for finished design.
• Liaise with sub-suppliers for competitive solutions.
• Coordinate with OPC team for ETO activities.
• Support FWT testing and prototype building.
• Develop schedules and update plans.
• Collaborate with other engineering functions on ETO specs.
• Demonstrate strong cross-functional teamwork.
