Job summary

Koch-Glitsch, based in Vimercate, Italy, is seeking a Process Engineer to support the Process & Technology team. You will act as the primary technical contact for customers and develop detailed process studies and proposals for mass transfer equipment.

Ideal candidates are self-organized, technically strong, proactive, and eager to learn. The role involves collaboration with other departments and coordination across projects in a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, refining, or related process industries.
• Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
• Solid knowledge of mass-transfer unit operations (distillation, absorption, separation).
• Good communication, self-motivation, and teamwork.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Hydraulic and fluid-dynamic design of mass transfer equipment.
• Process modelling of distillation columns, absorbers, strippers, etc.
• Execution of technical feasibility studies and economic assessments.
• Preparation of process and technical reports.
• Development of technical and commercial proposals for mass transfer devices.
• Revamp and energy-optimization studies, including process, hydraulic, and mechanical aspects.
• Troubleshooting and performance assessments of process units and equipment.
• Preparation of key process documentation (HMB, datasheets, specifications).
• Participation in technical meetings with customers and project discussions.
