Job summary

Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (ENLT) seeks a Director of Construction – Europe to lead a team of project managers delivering large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects across multiple European countries.

You will own department budgets, manage cost control, and coordinate with Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance while negotiating with contractors and suppliers. Frequent travel across Europe is required to ensure timely delivery and COD milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field is required.
• 10+ years of experience in renewable energy and/or infrastructure projects is required.
• Proven experience managing international projects across multiple countries is required.
• Experience managing budgets and the financial and commercial aspects of complex infrastructure projects is required.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams of project managers is required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teams (Development, Engineering, Procurement, Finance) and external stakeholders (contractors, suppliers, owner’s engineers, PM/supervision firms, business partners).
• Monitor key project milestones, identify contractual risks, and lead negotiation strategies to protect the company’s interests.
• Represent the projects and regularly report on status and progress to senior management and partners.

We are looking for a Director of Construction – Europe to lead a team of project managers delivering large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects across multiple European countries. The role requires multidisciplinary management expertise spanning infrastructure, engineering, finance, and commercial aspects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the team of project managers responsible for large-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects, from financial close through construction, commissioning, and commercial operation (COD).
• Own the department’s project budgets, including budget development, cost control, monitoring, and forecasting.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal teams, including Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance, and with external stakeholders, including contractors, global equipment suppliers, owner’s engineers, project management and supervision firms, and business partners.
• Monitor key project milestones, identify contractual risks and exposures, and lead negotiation strategies to proactively resolve issues and protect the company’s interests.
• Represent the projects and regularly report on their status and progress to senior management, partners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant field – required.
• At least 10 years of experience managing renewable energy and/or infrastructure projects, including civil works, electrical infrastructure (including substations and grid connection), and the management of contractors, consultants, and engineering designers – required.
• Proven experience managing international projects across multiple countries – required.
• Experience managing budgets and the financial and commercial aspects of complex infrastructure projects – required.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams of project managers – required.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong technical orientation combined with strategic, big-picture thinking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and MS Project – required.
• Full professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written – required.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites across Europe.
• Experience working remotely with geographically distributed teams and/or collaborating with Israeli companies – an advantage.
