ITA Airways, the Italian national airline, is seeking Direct Entry Pilots Rated for permanent positions at our Rome (Fiumicino) base. You will deliver a safe, high-quality journey for our customers and operate under strict regulatory standards.

Required are an EASA ATPL or CPL (with ATPL knowledge for CPL holders), a valid EASA medical certificate, EU work eligibility, and English proficiency (ICAO level 4+). The contract offers a base salary paid over 14 monthly installments.

• Valid passport issued by an EU Member State.
• English language proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or higher.

As a high performing and motivated Direct Entry Pilot, delivering consistent operational excellence in the sky whilst maintaining our high safety standards, you will give our customers an exceptional journey.

What are we looking for?

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or Bachelor's degree
• Valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Eligibility to live and work in the European Union
• Valid passport issued by an EU Member State
• English language proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or higher

LICENCE AND RATING REQUIREMENTS

• EASA Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
  • For CPL holders: valid ATPL theoretical knowledge certificate, issued by the competent Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or endorsed on the licence.
• Valid EASA Type Rating on Multi-Pilot Aeroplane, eligible for a Zero Flight Time Training Type Rating (ZFTT*)

NOTES

• Flight hours requirements exclude simulator hours
• ZFTT* eligibility: Type Rating on multi-pilot aeroplane, eligible for a Zero Flight Time Type Rating (ZFTT) course in accordance with FCL.730.A, held on multi-pilot turbo-jet aeroplanes (CS-25) or multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplanes with an MTOM of at least 10 tonnes or more than 19 passenger seats
• Candidates holding a DLR certificate are kindly requested to attach it to their application (not mandatory). DLR result will be considered valid if obtained within the 24 months

What do we offer?

Permanent contract.

Base salary paid over 14 monthly: 839,42€

Additional variable pay elements in accordance with the applicable Company collective labour agreement signed on 22 July 2026.
