Job summary

NXP Semiconductors NV in Catania, Italy, is building new teams to develop high-impact MCUs as part of its Intelligent Edge and AI strategy. As a Digital DFT Engineer, you will support the development of digital Design-for-Test solutions for complex semiconductor devices and collaborate with experienced engineers to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

You will work across digital IC design, verification, and test teams, applying Verilog/SystemVerilog, Python, and C/C++ skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Interest in semiconductor technologies, digital IC design, and test methodologies.
• Familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL and Python/C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to digital IC design, verification, and Design-for-Test (DFT) activities.
• Support development and evaluation of DFT architectures, algorithms, and methodologies.
• Analyze digital circuits to improve testability, coverage, and diagnosis capabilities.
• Assist in implementation and validation of DFT solutions using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Conduct research and technical investigations related to digital design and test challenges.
• Analyze simulation and test data, documenting results and proposing improvements.
• Collaborate with digital design, verification, product engineering, and test teams.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and thesis-related documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews and problem-solving activities.
