Job summary

Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, in Taormina seeks a driven Demi Chef de Partie to support section management and help create exceptional culinary experiences. You will assist in daily preparation, mis-en-place, and service of a kitchen section.

You will ensure high standards, supervise Commis de Cuisine, and maintain strict adherence to HACCP, health and safety, and Belmond's sustainability practices. English and Italian spoken; experience in 5-star hotels preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commis or Demi Chef de Partie in 5-star hotels or fine-dining venues.
• Solid foundational cooking techniques and passion for learning.
• Fluent in Italian and good working knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in daily preparation, mis-en-place, and service of a specific kitchen section.
• Prepare fresh, seasonal ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
• Supervise Commis de Cuisine, ensuring food handling, organization, and station cleanliness.
• Maintain adherence to food waste reduction and Belmond's environmental sustainability practices.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and HACCP regulations across all workstations.
