Quantum Sky is seeking a Network Specialist to support the DoD DHA LAN/WAN in Aviano, Italy. The role involves on-site troubleshooting, problem resolution, and ensuring critical medical network services operate reliably across the campus.

You will maintain and troubleshoot switches/routers, firewalls, and VPNs, apply OSI model knowledge, and stay compliant with DoD directives. A Bachelor's degree with experience, or equivalent certs, plus Security+ CE and CCNA/Junos are preferred.

Competenze

• Thorough understanding of OSI layers 1–3 with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and routing.
• Familiar with firewall and VPN technologies and security practices.
• Strong experience in maintaining switches/routers and diagnosing LAN/WAN issues.
• Knowledge of security methodologies and DoD requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree with experience OR technical certification with 8 years related experience.
• Compliance with DoD Directive 8570.01 and Security+ CE certification required.
• Current CCNA or Juniper/Brocade equivalent preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide daily operational support for LAN core and edge switches.
• Resolve network issues across the medical network and DHA LAN/WAN.
• Support routing, switching, firewalls, and cabling infrastructure.
• Plan, install, and support hardware/software upgrades and fixes.
