Job summary

Prada Group in Milan seeks a Data Science Specialist to join Data & Analytics within IT. You will design, develop and industrialize AI and Generative AI solutions across content production, supply chain and customer experience, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on cloud experience, can manage projects end-to-end and coordinate external developers, with Python, PySpark, and ML Ops in a fashion and luxury context.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in data science and AI across different business domains, with models brought to production.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and PySpark, solid knowledge of SQL; experience with Generative AI (LLMs, RAG) and computer vision is a plus.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and Databricks or equivalent tools (MLflow, Feature Store, Model Serving); familiarity with ML Ops practices.
• Experience in project management and coordinating external suppliers, ideally with Agile methodologies; previous experience in Fashion & Luxury is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge technical and business language; fluency in Italian and English, written and spoken.

• Collaborate with the Data Engineering and Data Visualization teams, other IT functions and business stakeholders, managing dependencies across cross-functional programs.
• Build and maintain scalable data and ML pipelines on cloud platforms, monitoring model performance and contributing to ML Ops best practices and reusable frameworks.

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a Data Science Specialist to join the Data & Analytics Team within IT, based in our Milan HQ. The area brings together the Data Science, Data Visualization and Data Engineering teams. The role has a cross-functional scope: it focuses on designing, developing and industrializing AI and Generative AI solutions for the Group's main business areas and strategic projects, such as content production, supply chain and customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with solid cloud experience, eager to manage projects end-to-end and to coordinate external development teams, working across IT and business functions on complex enterprise programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and deploy AI and Generative AI solutions across the Group's main business areas, such as content production (computer vision), supply chain and customer experience.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent experience.

3+ years of hands-on experience in data science and AI across different business domains, gained in industry or consulting, with machine learning models brought to production.

Advanced proficiency in Python and PySpark, solid knowledge of SQL; experience with Generative AI (LLMs, RAG) and computer vision is a plus.

Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and Databricks or equivalent tools (MLflow, Feature Store, Model Serving); familiarity with ML Ops practices.

Experience in project management and in coordinating external suppliers, ideally with Agile methodologies; previous experience in Fashion & Luxury is a plus.
