CNH Industrial Group is seeking a Data Architecture leader to define, govern and optimize the data landscape on a Databricks-centric Lakehouse. You will establish target-state models, standards and patterns for ingestion, storage and analytics across CNH, aligning with security and AI initiatives.

The role emphasizes scalable pipelines, data products thinking, and collaboration with business and IT leaders to maximize value from CNH’s information assets.

Job Purpose

The main responsibility of this role is to define and govern how data is structured, integrated, stored, and made consumable as reusable data products across CNH on a Databricks-centric Lakehouse platform. The role is responsible for establishing the target-state data architecture, modeling standards, and technology patterns that enable the ingestion, transformation, storage, and enrichment of data. This ensures that CNH’s data foundation is scalable, performant, trusted, and AI-ready, while remaining aligned with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and the broader Data & AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target-state data architecture and roadmap (conceptual, logical and physical data models) for the enterprise data landscape, maintaining current and target state blueprints.


• Set standards, reference architectures and design guidelines for data ingestion, modeling, storage and consumption on the Databricks Lakehouse, to be adopted by delivery and engineering teams.


• Architect scalable, reusable and automated data pipelines (batch & streaming) and promote a data products operating model with strong DataOps practices.


• Design data structures that are AI- and analytics-ready, enabling BI, advanced analytics, ML and GenAI use cases (feature engineering, vector/semantic layers, RAG-ready data) leveraging the Databricks ecosystem.


• Apply data governance and data quality principles within the architecture, partnering with the dedicated Data Governance function (which owns governance strategy) to ensure compliant, well-modeled and well-cataloged data, leveraging Unity Catalog for cataloging, lineage and access management.


• Ensure security, privacy and compliance by design (GDPR, data classification, access control).


• Partner with business and IT leaders to translate business needs into architectural decisions and to maximize the value of CNH’s information assets.


• Provide technical leadership and architectural assurance across programs and external delivery partners.

Experience Required

General

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent experience.


• Minimum 7+ years in data architecture / data engineering / data modeling roles.


• Available for occasional business travel.

Functional

• Strong business-domain, information and process understanding; ability to relate architectural decisions to business value.


• Mastery of data modeling and data architecture patterns (dimensional, data vault, medallion/Lakehouse).


• Solution evaluation and comparison; reference-architecture design.


• Working knowledge of data governance and data quality principles (the role applies them and collaborates with the Data Governance function, but does not own governance).

Technical

• Databricks Lakehouse (core requirement): Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows/Jobs, Delta Live Tables, MLflow.


• Cloud: Azure (Azure Data Lake Storage; Databricks on Azure); AWS knowledge a plus.


• Data integration & movement: ETL/ELT, CDC, batch & streaming (e.g. Structured Streaming, Kafka/Event Hubs).


• Storage & modeling: Lakehouse / medallion architecture, Data Warehouse, dimensional & data-vault modeling.


• SQL plus solid Python/Spark; awareness of AI/GenAI data enablement (vector search, semantic layers, feature stores).

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is EUR €60,000.00 - €92,000.00 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
