Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Handle customer phone calls.
  • Manage correspondence regarding potential claims.
  • Handle booking inquiries and amendments via email.
  • Process changes of destination and handle shipment exceptions.
  • Verify transport exceptions and bill additional costs where applicable.
  • Follow procedures for special cargo approval.
  • Follow up on transshipment processes.
  • Develop expertise in export booking topics.
  • Manage documentation exceptions proactively to ensure service delivery.
  • Improve customs and documentation processes.
  • Handle import documents such as arrival notices, delivery orders, and container releases.
  • Coordinate on-carriage activities with transport dispatch upon customer request.
  • Manage special equipment return requests.
  • Monitor overdue boxes for pickup and return.
  • Handle re-export and return shipments.
  • Propose improvements to import efficiency.
  • Develop expertise in export, documentation, and import functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Experience in the shipping industry, preferably in customer service.
  • Proficiency in English, Spanish, and Italian.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Receptive to new ideas and motivated for personal development.
