A&O IT Group is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join as a freelance contractor through to the end of 2029. You will assist staff with desktop, application, and OS support, including testing, installation, and troubleshooting within established standards.

The role requires 1st line support, on-site coverage, and collaboration with procurement on hardware and upgrades. Ideal candidates will have strong Windows OS and Office knowledge, AD administration experience, and excellent English

Competenze

• Experience supporting desktop and peripheral hardware in a corporate environment.
• Proficient with Windows desktop OS and standard business apps (Office).
• Administration of Active Directory users and groups needed.
• Clear communication in English; additional Italian needed is a plus.

Mansioni

• Test, repair, document end-user IT issues including desktops, printers, PDAs and LAN drops.
• Provide first-line IT support to staff; meet service targets.
• Deliver infrastructure administration functions as required.
• On-site coverage 8:00–19:00, Mon–Fri; occasional after-hours support.
• Troubleshoot software, reimage computers, back up and restore settings.
• Own issues through to resolution and track with ticketing system.
• Move equipment for escalated incidents and perform asset inventory.
• Train staff on hardware and software usage; assist with upgrades.
• Coordinate with procurement for hardware/software needs; work in project-based environment.
