Our Client is a world-leading engineering and consultancy firm seeking a Contract & Cost Manager for Data Center projects based in Rome. You will oversee the full lifecycle of building contracts, coordinate on-site reviews, and advise on changes, costs, and risk with a global team.

Role requires 10+ years in similar roles, Fidic knowledge, and a degree in Engineering; Italian and English fluency are essential. Domestic travel (~80%) and frequent on-site work are expected.

Contract & Cost Manager - Data Center - Rome, Italy

To boost the Italian team in the Data Center Sector, We are looking for a Contract & Cost Manager - Data Center, to support one of our most important clients in a rapidly growing industry. In this role, you will contribute to complex, high-profile projects, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Role accountabilities: Management of the entirety of the Building Contracts. Visit the site regularly to review progress and quality with the Contractor and other contractors undertaking the project. Provide contractual support and advice on potential change orders, cost impacts, risks, utility requirements etc. Advise on Client liability regarding any claims from the Contractor (preliminary advice only). Discuss the adjusted contract sum (final account) with the Contractor. Agree with client the authorisation to the adjusted contract sum. Manage and track the closeout of claims in collaboration with the project team. Analyse and report on the Contractor's losses and expenses claims. Advise on the Contractor's entitlement to extensions of time in collaboration with project team. Analyse the Contractor's application(s) for extensions of time. Prepare documentation and/or provide advice to support proceedings: adjudication, mediation, arbitration, litigation etc. Overview document management in order store all relevant correspondence and Documents, and which is to be accessed by all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience: At least 10 years of working experience in similar roles and/or international companies. Excellent knowledge of English and Italian language (B2/C1). Fidic Contract knowledge is a must. A degree in Engineering is a strong plus. A previous experience in the Data Center sector will be considered a strong plus. Ability to travel autonomously is a must. Strong oral and written communication skills. Available to travel domestically around 80% of the time. Frequent presence on-site will be requested. Projects are based in the Milan hinterland, mainly east and south of Milan.

The annual salary range for this position is €50.000 - €70.000.
