Job summary

Rotork is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our Porcari, Lucca site on a 9-month contract. You will design, implement and document shop floor processes, applying lean principles to drive efficiency and quality improvements.

Reporting to Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will participate in audits, provide technical support, and lead problem investigations with a view to introducing improved processes and equipment where appropriate. Fluent Italian and professional English are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a Technical Diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, or Industrial Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in an engineering-led production environment manufacturing electromechanical products.
• Practical application of Lean Manufacturing principles, Continuous Improvement methodologies, and process improvement tools, with a proven ability to drive efficiency, quality, and productivity improvements.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience of Lean tools and problem-solving methodologies, including: 5S, 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone) Analysis, Gap Analysis, Timing Methods
• Proficiency in data analysis, process performance measurement, and root cause analysis.
• Experience using CAD software, including AutoCAD, Solid Edge .
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Fluent Italian (advanced level) and professional English (minimum B2 level).
