Job summary

WTS Energy is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator for our Vicenza, Italy team. The role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates for complex construction and infrastructure projects, with emphasis on materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracting costs.

You will analyse tender documents and drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and collaborate with technical and procurement teams to support bids and budgets. Fluency in Italian is required, English is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience estimating costs for construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and quantities.
• Strong knowledge of construction costs, materials and labour rates.
• Good analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Analyse tender documents, technical drawings, specs, and bills of quantities.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment and subcontracted works.
• Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
• Identify cost risks, potential savings and optimisation opportunities.
• Collaborate with technical, procurement, engineering and project management teams.
• Support tender preparation, budget development and commercial evaluations.
• Maintain cost databases and update pricing information based on market trends.
