Job summary

ABB Bergamo plant is seeking a motivated technician in R&D to develop and maintain low voltage breaker prototypes in the workshop. You will work as a reliable contributor on CNC machines, translating instructions into high-quality parts and supporting production timelines.

The role requires 2–5 years in CNC environments, a five-year electromechanical diploma, and fluency in Italian with basic English (B1). On-site collaboration and continuous improvement are core aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• You hold a five years technical diploma or ITS in electromechanical field.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and their symbols and principles.
• 2-5 years experience with mechanical troubleshooting, reworking, and maintenance of CNC machining centers and other industrial equipment.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English (B1 level).
• Teamworking and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Working as a reliable contributor in R&D projects.
• Developing mechanical prototypes according to R&D instructions/procedures.
• Operates CNC machines to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts for a final product.
• Operates machines following manuals/work schedules under instructions.
• Cooperates to optimize scheduling of CNC resources to improve timing, priority, and quality of prototypes.
• Undertakes standard maintenance, tools and programming to perform machine activities, and raises safety, productivity and cost-saving ideas.
