Job summary

ABB Bergamo is seeking a skilled technician to contribute to R&D projects, developing mechanical prototypes and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts. The role requires adherence to instructions, coordination of CNC resources for optimal timing and efficiency, and ongoing maintenance with a focus on safety and cost savings.

Qualifications

• You hold a five years technical diploma or ITS in electromechanical field.
• Knowledge of technical drawings and their symbols and principles.
• 2-5 years experience with mechanical troubleshooting, reworking, and maintenance of CNC machining centers and other industrial equipment.
• You are at ease communicating in italian and english knowhow (B1 level).
• Teamworking and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Working as a reliable contributor in R&D projects.
• Developing mechanical prototypes according to R&D instructions/procedures.
• Operates on CNC machines to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts for a final product at the right time and with the required quality.
• Operates machines in accordance with operating manual/work schedule/production under instructions.
• Cooperates in order to identify the best scheduling of CNC resources in order to optimize timing, priority, and quality of prototypes.
• Undertakes standard maintenance, tools and programming to perform machine activities. Raise machine safety, productivity and cost saving ideas.
