Tecnimont in Italy is seeking a Civil & Structural Steel Engineer to join our team in Catania. The role focuses on modularization, Tekla modelling, steel detailing, and coordination with Civil & Structural Designers on large-scale projects worldwide.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, at least 5 years of Tekla Structures experience, strong AutoCAD and Navisworks skills, and English fluency, with willingness to travel as required. Competitive compensation and benefits.

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Strong expertise in Tekla Structures for steel modelling and detailing, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD for 2D drawing updates and Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of collaborative platforms such as BIM 360, ACC, Forma, and/or Trimble Connect.
• Previous experience as a BIM Specialist or BIM Coordinator is an advantage.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
• Availability to travel for short and extended periods.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

• Modularization studies, focused on defining how steel structures can be developed into transportable modules, assembled at the yard and installed directly at site;
• Pre-assembly studies, to identify steel portions suitable for early assembly in dedicated site areas, reducing erection activities at site.

The Civil & Structural Steel Engineer will support project activities by working with Civil & Structural Steel Specialists and the Civil & Structural Design Specialist in the execution of steelwork activities, as part of a dedicated team focused on developing and strengthening two key areas:

Personal Attributes:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred;
• Strong expertise in Tekla Structures for steel modelling and detailing, with at least 5 years of experience;
• Strong experience with AutoCAD for 2D drawing updates and Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection, with at least 5 years of experience;
• Knowledge of collaborative platforms such as BIM 360, ACC, Forma, and/or Trimble Connect;
• Previous experience as a BIM Specialist or BIM Coordinator is an advantage;
• Previous experience in steel manufacturing is an advantage;
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required;
• Availability to travel for short and extended periods.

Contract Type and Classification:

Contract type: Permanent Applicable collective agreement (NCLC): Chemical and Chemical-Pharmaceutical (identification code B011)Job classification level: white collar consistent with job requirements and applicable Collective Agreement

Compensation:

The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be 42,920.92€

The compensation package will include the applicable elements of the Collective Agreement as well as benefits provided under company agreements, including flexible benefits and a participation bonus. Any additional variable components and/or benefits, regulated by Standards, Policies and/or company agreements, will be illustrated during the selection process.
