TECNIMONT in Catania seeks a Civil & Structural Steel Engineer to join our team. The role involves developing and strengthening steel structures, coordinating with civil and structural steel specialists, and delivering modularization and pre-assembly studies for large projects.

The candidate will model with Tekla, update 2D drawings in AutoCAD, perform clash checks in Navisworks, and apply BIM platforms like BIM 360 and Trimble Connect. Fluency in English and travel availability are required.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Strong expertise in Tekla Structures for steel modelling and detailing with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong experience with AutoCAD for 2D drawings and Navisworks for clash detection with at least 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of BIM platforms such as BIM 360, ACC, Forma, and/or Trimble Connect.
• Previous experience as a BIM Specialist or BIM Coordinator is an advantage.
• Previous experience in steel manufacturing is an advantage.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
• Availability to travel for short and extended periods.

Mansioni

• Prepare the Tekla 3D model and extract steelwork drawings based on structural calculations, coordinating with the Project Team.
• Develop, maintain, and update project procedures, guidelines, and standards with Steel Specialists.
• Support Construction department as required per project needs.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Support Head of Department in applying department standards and improving workflows.
• Keep updated on department developments and share knowledge with Tecnimont Group colleagues.
• Stay informed on technical developments within the discipline and disseminate knowledge to specialists and engineers.
