WOOD plc in Lombardy is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer - Graduate to join its Projects team in Corsico (Milan) for EPC of complex plants in chemical, petrochemical and energy sectors. This entry-level role offers hybrid work with up to two days from home.

You will support civil engineering documentation under senior engineers, prepare foundation, concrete and steel calculation reports, and participate in 3D model reviews and site visits to gain hands-on experience.

• Prepare calculation reports of foundations, concrete and steel structures based on input from Vendors and other disciplines.
• Attend 3D model reviews to implement Client comments in the design.
• Provide technical support to the site team and participate in site visits during construction.

Job description

Wood is recruiting for a Civil & Structural Engineer - Graduate to join its Projects business line focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role

You will support the development of civil engineering documentation under the guidance of senior engineers and civil project specialty leaders. The role involves the preparation of calculation reports of foundations, concrete and steel structures based on input from Vendors and other disciplines, interacting with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality technical documents. During projects development, you’ll attend 3D model review to implement any Client’s comments in the design. During construction you’ll be involved in giving technical support to site team and for site visits.
