Job summary

Wood is recruiting a Civil Designer to join its Projects team in Corsico (Milan), focusing on civil engineering for complex process plants in chemical, petrochemical and energy sectors. The role involves designing foundations, concrete structures and earthworks, with 3D model development and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

You will support senior staff, attend 3D model reviews and respond to client comments, and participate in site visits during construction.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting in civil engineering document design and development.
• Ability to prepare foundations and concrete structures drawings.
• Experience with 3D modelling and site visits.

Job description

Wood is recruiting for a Civil Designer to join its Projects business line focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role

You will support the design and development of civil engineering documents under the guidance of senior engineers and designers. The role involves the preparation of technical drawings for foundations, concrete structures, earthworks, 3D models and related quantities interacting with other technical disciplines and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality technical solutions. During projects development, you’ll attend 3D model review and will implement any Client’s comments in the design. During construction you’ll be involved to prepare updated or new documents and for site visits.
