Quay Crew is seeking an experienced Captain for a well‑maintained 60m private yacht based in Italy. The role requires a Master 3000 license and thorough Mediterranean cruising knowledge, with a strong hospitality background to host dinner parties for owners and guests.

We value longevity and excellent references from previous yachts. You will lead the crew across a busy schedule, including winter maintenance, repairs, and a dynamic western/central Mediterranean season in 2027.

Qualifications

• Master 3000 license required.
• Thorough knowledge of Mediterranean cruising as Captain.
• Strong hospitality background preferred for entertaining guests.
• Proven longevity and excellent references from previous yachts.

Yacht & Crew Profile

• Well maintained 60m MY is looking for an experienced Captain to join an established single season private programme.
• The yacht will be berthed in the western Med over the winter where she will undergo repairs and maintenance.
• A busy Med summer is planned for 2027, cruising mainly the western and central Med.
• Crew are healthy, active, and fitness-oriented who enjoy additional time off during the shoulder seasons and over the winter.
• Experienced owners who look after the crew well, with good stability and longevity across all departments

Role Requirements

• The captain must hold a Master 3000 license
• A thorough cruising knowledge of the Mediterranean as Captain is essential
• A strong hospitality background is preferred as the owners love to entertain and host dinner parties for family and friends
• Proven longevity and good references from previous yachts are essential for this role
