Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Italy is seeking a CAPEX Project Lead at the Sesto Fiorentino site to drive capital investments and engineering projects over a 1-year term.

You will partner with the Engineering Manager to shepherd projects from definition through installation, testing, startup and qualification, across equipment, utilities and plant infrastructure, ensuring GMP, safety and budget compliance. This role suits engineers who enjoy hands-on operations and want broader exposure to CAPEX

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities or capital-project execution in regulated manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, EHS, technical documentation and qualification principles advantageous.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good level of English for technical docs and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Define the site investment plan with Plant and Engineering Managers.
• Lead projects from definition through installation, testing and closure.
• Monitor scope, timelines, costs, risks and actions.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning of equipment, utilities and plant systems.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, EHS and Engineering to minimize disruption.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and partners ensuring GMP and safety standards.
• Support qualification activities and IQ/OQ documentation with Quality and Validation.
• Prepare CAPEX documentation, cost estimates and progress updates.
• Maintain drawings, manuals and records ensuring information is accurate and accessible.
