THE ROLE

We are looking for skilled and passionate individuals who excel in craftsmanship and hands-on work to join our team. As a Campervan Maintenance Technician, you will be part of our Palermo team and work with the Central Europe Regional Team; your primary responsibility is to ensure our campervans are always well-maintained and in the best possible condition, supporting the day-to-day operations and contributing to an efficient and smooth customer experience.

This role is critical to ensuring our fleet of campervans is maintained at the highest standards, enabling our customers to embark on unforgettable journeys. If you enjoy hands-on repair work, like solving mechanical problems, having immediate impact on objectives and are motivated to be part of a mission-driven team, we invite you to bring your expertise to our organization.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

Reporting directly to the local leader, you will be an active part of the daily operations of the depot, executing tasks such as:

  • Preparation of vehicles and equipment for customers;
  • Assist with handling incoming reservations, welcoming guests and taking care of check-ins and check-outs;
  • Receive and collect shipments and supplies, organize them in storage areas, register item consumption and new orders.

Beyond the day-to-day depot operations, you will also be responsible for the technical maintenance of our fleet, namely:

  • Carry out routine inspections of vehicles and identify issues across mechanical, electrical, heating, and water systems;
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on campervans and motorhomes, including:
    • Preventive and corrective maintenance;
    • Minor repairs and spare parts replacement (lightbulbs, windows, side mirrors);
    • Troubleshooting and repair of campervan appliances and fittings;
  • Maintain, develop and coordinate vehicle interventions with external suppliers and regional teams;
  • Keep all vehicle records and information systems up to date in accordance with established procedures;
  • Move campervans to and from vendors, parking facilities, or other depots as needed;
  • Keep the depot, equipment, and spare parts organised and in good order and maintain spare parts inventory.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Candidates with proven experience with hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs - experience in campervans is a plus;
  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred);
  • You’re fluent in English and Italian (mandatory);
  • You’re eligible to work in Italy, have a valid driver’s licence and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory);
  • You’re available to work on weekends and public holidays.

THE INDIE COMMITMENT!

  • Being part of a young, fast-growing and innovative company where you make a difference;
  • Career development opportunities in Field Operations and transition opportunities to our Offices in Lisbon, Mexico City or Manila;
