thyssenkrupp nucera Italy is seeking an experienced Local Procurement professional to buy equipment and materials for engineering projects in Milano. You will work with international suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, negotiate terms, and support the development of company-wide framework agreements.

The role requires about 8 years of purchasing experience, fluency in English and Italian (B2), and strong ERP skills (SAP or MS Dynamics) along with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier performance and support framework agreements
• Manage call-off orders and contribute to company-wide framework agreements

Aim of the position Working in the Local Procurement Team to buy several kinds of equipment and materials as per projects requirements in a challenging environment in which to ensure the financial success of projects and select suppliers with a high degree of reliability and cutting-edge technology. Interaction with other subsidiaries to explore emerging markets and update company Vendor List.

Your responsibilities

Working in the Local Procurement Team to buy several kinds of equipment and materials as per projects requirements in a challenging environment in which to ensure the financial success of projects and select suppliers with a high degree of reliability and cutting-edge technology. Interaction with other subsidiaries to explore emerging markets and update company Vendor List.

• You consider projects demands and place purchase orders accordingly , ensuring alignment with approved requisitions and project requirements;
• You are responsible for the inquiry process, negotiate pricing, delivery terms, Incoterms, payment terms, commercial terms and conditions within defined authority limits;
• You will be responsible for communicating with the supplier and dealing with contractual disruptions (past dues, reminders, claim discussions, missing documents or documentation);
• You collaborate and coordinate closely with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Service and Logistics to ensure seamless execution;
• You support monitoring of supplier performance, including delivery reliability, responsiveness and commercial behavior;
• You manage call‑off Orders and support the further development of company‑wide framework agreements.

Your profile

• You have around 8 years of professional experience in the area of purchasing, ideally in purchasing equipment and materials for Engineering Companies;
• Due to the international nature of our project and supplier base, you have very good written and spoken English and Italian (at least level B2);
• You have the ability to present complex issues in a simple and understandable way;
• You have proven experience and willingness to work in an international environment and with global teams;
• You have a solid knowledge of the common MS Office applications, as well as experience in working with ERP system like SAP or MS Dynamics.
