TikTok is offering a Business Development Intern position (TikTok Shop Operations) for a 12-week summer program in 2027. You will work with the Business Development Team to identify and onboard merchants, provide development strategies, and support growth on TikTok Shop.

You will lead merchant qualification, assist with onboarding, product listings, and campaigns, while collaborating with account managers to analyze category growth and track performance.

Responsibilities

• The Business Development Team is responsible for identifying, acquiring and growing emerging merchants as well as creating long-term strategies to develop existing businesses on TikTok Shop. The team manages hundreds of accounts across various verticals.The team is seeking a Business Development Intern who is responsible for identifying and onboarding e-commerce brands/retailers/merchants and providing them with development strategies, educational support and other resources to gain success on TikTok Shop.
• Lead qualification; Identify relevant sellers for onboarding based on lead lists and own industry research, support merchant acquisition and - once onboarded - first product listings and sales.
• Support outreach activities through email campaigns and calls to book meetings.
• Collaborate with account managers to analyse the category growth opportunities of merchants through data analysis, and continuously improve the operational capabilities and output of merchants on the platform.
• Follow up on product selection and submission for key special campaigns and promotional activities, as well as the tracking and analysis of the post campaign performance.
• Support category deep dives and reporting to measure performance and identify category trends.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:- Currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales or any similar field- Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer of 2027- Understanding of TikTok and TikTok Shop from a customer perspective/in-app experience- Experience working with Excel and delivering actionable insights- Data-driven, strong execution with attention to detail, good communication, collaborative, and good time management skills
• Preferred Qualifications:- Work experience (in E-Commerce), ideally in account management- Strong understanding of content, especially TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other content-driven platforms.- Data-driven, strong execution with attention to detail, good communication, collaborative, and time management skills- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The initial gross monthly salary for this position in the selected city is EUR1625.
