The City of Attleboro invites applications for Inspector of Buildings/Building Commissioner of Buildings & Zoning Enforcement Officer in the Protective Inspection Department. You will direct department operations, supervise staff, manage budgets and oversee enforcement of the Massachusetts Building Code and local zoning ordinances.

Required are a High School diploma with advanced training and five years of supervisory experience, with a Bachelor’s preferred.

• High School diploma and advanced technical training with five years of supervisory building construction/design experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.

Mansioni

• Direct operations of the Protective Inspection Department and oversee building, mechanical and zoning code enforcement.
• Review building/site plans and perform residential and commercial inspections.
• Respond to complaints and provide technical assistance to City departments and the public.
• Enforce regulations firmly, tactfully and impartially and liaison with City boards and departments.
• Attend BBRS, State Board of Appeals and court hearings and manage department budget.
