City of Attleboro Public Library is seeking a Technical Services Supervisor to oversee the library’s technical services operations under the Library Director. You will supervise staff and volunteers, manage ordering, cataloging, and records for annual reports, and assist at desks as needed.

Requires an Associate’s degree in library science or a related field and three years of experience in library technical services, or an equivalent combination.

Competenze

• Associate’s degree in library science or related field and three years of experience in library technical services (or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in library science or related field preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of library principles and procedures.
• Working knowledge of library reference materials.
• Thorough knowledge of computers and library computer applications.
• Ability to supervise employees and strong oral and written communication skills.

Mansioni

• Ordering new library materials.
• Maintaining the catalog of library holdings using an automated system.
• Supervising technical services employees and volunteers.
• Maintaining records for annual reports.
• May assist at circulation, reference, or children’s service desks as needed.
• Performing other related duties as required.

Formazione

Associate’s degree in library science or related field

Three years of experience in library technical services

Bachelor’s degree in library science or related field preferred
