The City of Attleboro Wastewater Treatment Plant seeks a Maintenance Repairman to maintain and repair all plant equipment and vehicles under the supervision of the Superintendent and the foreman. The role requires keeping detailed logs and ensuring reliable operation of sewer lift stations.

Responsibilities include repairing pumps, piping, valves, motors, and related equipment; performing emergency repairs; and potentially supervising a small crew.

Competenze

• High school diploma and two years’ experience in municipal wastewater facility with experience in vehicle and instrument repairs required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant equipment, including extensive background in instrument repairs and working knowledge of gauges, pumps and valves.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair.
• Welding experience helpful.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.

Mansioni

• Maintains and repairs all equipment related to the wastewater treatment plant and sewer lift stations including pumps, piping, valves motors, chlorinating equipment, filter beds.
• Grease oils and repacks pumps and other machinery.
• Operates machinery and equipment as necessary in connection with maintenance and repair and in emergency situations.
• Makes repairs on all motor vehicles.
• Keep logs of all work done on equipment.
• May supervise a small crew of lower skilled employees on a particular project.
• Participates in snow and ice program.
• Performs related work as required.
