Job summary

Rimond Srl in Milan seeks a BIM Structural Engineer to join the Structural Design Team in our Milan office. You will develop and manage BIM models for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures using Autodesk Revit, coordinating with other disciplines to ensure consistency with calculations and documentation.

The role requires a solid background in structural engineering, proficiency in Revit, and familiarity with NT C 2018 and Eurocodes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (specialization preferred).
• Experience in structural engineering and BIM modelling.
• Solid understanding of structural systems and design principles for RC, steel, and masonry.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for structural modelling and documentation.
• Ability to develop accurate BIM models aligned with structural calculations and documentation.
• Familiarity with NT C 2018 and Eurocodes.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows, model coordination, clash detection, and CDEs.
• Fluency in Italian and English; willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage BIM models for new and existing structures using Revit.
• Produce structural models and drawings for RC, steel, and masonry.
• Develop detailed models in line with design solutions, BIM standards, and information exchange protocols.
• Extract plans, sections, details, and schedules from BIM models.
• Coordinate models with architectural and MEP disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure consistency between BIM, calculations, and docs.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and calculation reports to ensure BIM accuracy.
• Support integration of structural information across project stages.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and model reviews.
