Job summary

YellowSquare Milano is seeking an experienced Bar & Reception Supervisor to lead our vibrant Milan Square. You will manage operations across Bar and Reception, drive guest engagement, and mentor a diverse team in a fast-paced hostel setting.

Fluency in Italian and English, 5+ years in hospitality, with at least 2 in a supervisory role, and a hands-on, tech-savvy approach are essential as we grow the network.

Qualifications

• 5 years total hospitality experience, incl. 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, able to manage large diverse teams.
• Fluent in Italian and English; other languages a plus.
• Willing to travel across Squares.
• Hands-on problem solver with a hands-on approach.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital tools and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Kitchen, Bar/Reception, and Maintenance teams for daily operations.
• Coordinate with the Rome office and central departments for alignment.
• Lead and motivate staff, fostering inclusion and safety.
• Drive performance improvements and innovative practices.
• Handle crises calmly and manage guest-related challenges.
• Ensure local regulatory compliance of the Square.

What we offer:

• Temporary, full-time contract 6 months.
• Classification: Level 3 (Livello 3 - CCNL Turismo).
• Annual compensation package: €23,700 - €27,000 Gross.

Who are we looking for?

• 5 years of total experience in the hospitality sector, with at least 2 years in a similar managerial role (e.g., Assistant to the General Manager or Operations Supervisor).

• Travel flexibility: Ability and willingness to travel across our different Squares
• Strong leadership skills, with experience overseeing large, diverse teams.
• Fluent in Italian and English (any other language is a plus).
• A problem solver with a hands-on approach—we need someone who doesn’t just manage but makes things happen.
• Tech-savvy mindset – comfortable with digital tools, software, and IT systems to efficiently manage operations.
• A hostel/hybrid hospitality veteran or enthusiast

• Performance & Innovation: Implementing strategic approaches to optimize overall performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
