Job summary

YellowSquare in Florence is seeking a Bar & Events Host who will be the heart of guest experience in our lively hostel spaces. You will juggle bar duties with events, creating a welcoming vibe and coordinating with staff to ensure memorable stays.

The role requires at least 1 year in related roles, strong hospitality skills, and excellent English. It offers a 3-month initial contract with extension potential and full-time hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in bartending, barista, floor staff, or event support.
• Strong floor service and event hosting aptitude.
• Team spirit with cross-department collaboration.
• Flexible schedule: 5 days a week, nights and weekends.
• Excellent customer service and hospitality passion.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serving coffee and drinks, chatting with guests, and managing operations behind the bar.
• Providing practical and logistical support during hostel events (setup, welcoming guests, energy).
• Bringing a positive energy to the floor and making guests feel at home.
• Promoting events and local experiences to enhance stays.
• Resolving issues proactively and keeping operations smooth.
• Collaborating with all departments to maintain high energy.
