Job summary

YellowSquare in Rome is seeking a Bar & Events Host to join our hostel team. You’ll be the heart of the guest experience, juggling bar duties and event hosting across vibrant social spaces.

We require at least 1 year of related experience, a passion for hospitality, and fluent English. The role is full-time, with nights and weekends, and offers a pathway for growth within a dynamic international environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in bartending, barista, floor staff or event support.
• Strong floor service and event hosting aptitude.
• Team spirit and cross‑department collaboration.
• Full-time availability, 5 days a week, nights and weekends.
• Excellent customer service and passion for hospitality.
• Fluent English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve coffee and drinks, chat with guests, and manage bar operations.
• Provide practical and logistical support during hostel events (setup, welcome guests, energy).
• Bring a positive energy to the floor and make guests feel at home.
• Promote events and local city experiences to enhance stays.
• Be a proactive problem-solver and help keep operations smooth.
• Cooperate with all departments to keep energy high across locations.

YellowSquare is looking for Bar & Events Host to join our teams in Rome. This isn’t your typical 9-to-5: you’ll be the heart of the guest experience, bringing great vibes and juggling roles between the Bar and our Events.

What you’ll do:

• Serving coffee and drinks, chatting with guests, and actively managing operations behind the bar;
• Providing practical and logistical support during hostel events (setting up the vibe, welcoming guests, and keeping the energy high);
• Bringing a positive, "light energy" to the floor, making everyone feel at home the moment they step into our social spaces;
• Promoting events and local city experiences to make every stay unforgettable;
• Being a proactive problem-solver and keeping operations smooth;
• Cooperating with the whole crew to keep the energy high across all departments

What you’ll bring:

• At least 1 year of experience in similar roles (Bartending, Barista, Floor Staff, or Event Support);
• A strong aptitude for floor service and event hosting;
• Team spirit: the ability to collaborate across different departments;
• Flexibility: ready to work 5 days a week on a shift schedule (including nights and weekends);
• Excellence in customer service and a genuine passion for hospitality;
• High proficiency in spoken English (local languages or other foreign languages are a huge plus!).

What we offer:

• A Gross Annual Salary (RAL) of €22.263,78;
• Contract governed by the "CCNL Turismo Alberghi" (National Collective Labour Agreement), guaranteeing all associated rights and duties;
