A creative digital experience platform is seeking a Mid-Senior Backend Developer to design and maintain backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in backend development, strong proficiency in Node.js or Go, and experience with cloud platforms. The role allows hybrid or fully remote work in Milan, fostering a collaborative environment with product managers and engineers.

Competenze

• 4+ years experience in backend development in production environments.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js (or Go) and TypeScript.
• Experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong communication skills in English; Italian is a plus.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain backend services and APIs (REST, GraphQL) that power our product.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, QA and DevOps to take features from concept to production.
• Ensure your backend is performant, reliable, secure and scalable.
• Contribute to architectural decisions: microservices, serverless, cloud‑native.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code; participate in code reviews and share best practices.
• Continuously improve our development and deployment pipeline.

What we expect

• 4+ years experience in backend development in production environments.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js (or Go) and TypeScript. Experience with frameworks like NestJS is a bonus.
• Solid experience with relational (PostgreSQL) and non‑relational (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with designing APIs, authentication/authorization, and distributed systems.
• Product mindset: you care about how users experience the product, you are keen to iterate fast.
• Strong communication skills in English. Italian is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience in SaaS environments, high‑traffic systems, or performance tuning.
• Experience working in a remote/distributed team.
