An Italian startup studio is seeking a Freelance Frontend Software Developer to build modern, high-quality user interfaces. You will be responsible for delivering responsive applications using React and Next.js while collaborating closely with design and backend teams. A degree in Computer Science and over 4 years of experience are required. The role is remote-first but offers flexibility to work from the Milan office. We are looking for a Freelance Frontend Software Developer to collaborate on an innovative project developed by Startup Bakery.

You will be responsible for building modern, high-quality user interfaces, working closely with product, backend, and design teams.

In a fast-moving and flexible environment, you will actively contribute to frontend architecture decisions and directly see the impact of your work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive and high-performance user interfaces
• Build and maintain web applications using React and Next.js
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and usability
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and best practices

Requisiti

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience as a Frontend Software Engineer / Developer
• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js
• Plus: knowledge of Google Cloud Platform or AWS
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git)
• Good written and spoken English
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team

• Remote-first, with optional access to our Milan office
