The World Food Programme (WFP) in Rome, Italy, is seeking an Aviation Officer (Contracts) for an 11-month internationalconsultant assignment. The role reports within the Aviation Service (SCDA) / Supply Chain & Delivery, based at WFP's Rome HQ.

The incumbent will support planning, contracting, and performance evaluation of global aviation activities. The position requires an advanced degree in aeronautics or related fields, and experience with UN agencies or large international operations.

Formación

• Advanced degree in Aeronautics or related field.
• Holds or has held a Commercial Pilot License, Air Traffic Control License or Flight Operations Officer License.
• Minimum 3 years of humanitarian environment experience.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to daily planning and coordination of aviation operations for safety and value.
• Review offers and prepare proposals for the Air Transport Contract Committee.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on aviation contracts and performance.
• Provide technical advice to country offices to ensure safe aviation operations.

Educación

Advanced University degree in Aeronautics or related field

Commercial Pilot License / Air Traffic Control License / Flight Operations Officer License
