Job summary

KION Group in Italy seeks a Software Engineer to join the Automation Commissioning Team in Lainate, focusing on C# application development and integration with automation systems. You will design reliable software modules, contribute to architecture, and collaborate with controls engineers to ensure end‑to‑end operation.

Experience with C# (async/await, LINQ, MVC) and basic familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal or Beckhoff TwinCAT is prized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Computer, Telecommunication or Automation Engineering.
• Experience designing reliable software components for automation systems.
• Familiarity with AGV/AMR or ASRS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C# applications for scalable, high‑performance automation software.
• Define software architecture using SOLID, layered design and DI principles.
• Integrate C# apps with automation equipment and AGV/AMR/ASRS systems via APIs and middleware.
• Collaborate with Controls and Commissioning Engineers to ensure seamless software interaction.
• Develop front‑end components using modern frameworks (Angular/Vue.js) for intuitive UIs.
