Tenova in Italy is seeking an Automation Project Engineer to design automation systems and coordinate their commissioning.

You will define system architecture, prepare diagrams and cables lists, draft specs for PC/PLC and panels, and supervise suppliers. This role requires PLC/SCADA experience, knowledge of AutoCAD and SPAC, and willingness to travel up to 30% in Italy and abroad. Strong English is required; steelworks or heavy industry exposure is preferred.

Competenze

• Experience in defining and designing PLC-based automation systems (components, distribution, networks, SCADA).
• Steelworks or heavy industry exposure is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical CAD (AutoCAD and SPAC).
• Good knowledge of English.
• Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad (up to 30%).

Mansioni

• Definition and structuring of automation systems.
• Preparation of automation system engineering (architecture, networks, remote I/O, I/O, cable lists).
• Preparation of technical specifications for PC/PLC, software, panels and accessories.
• Supervision and coordination of suppliers for detailed engineering and panels.
• Support for software engineers developing automation.
• Supervision and coordination of FAT testing activities.
• Supervision and coordination of commissioning activities.
